How to tag People or Pages in Photos on Facebook

 Photos, Tags     1 comment

With over 2 billion members, you’re obviously not the first person who succumb to peer pressure — or curiosity — and sign up to join the busy Facebook community!

I’ve been plugged in for years, but it’s only in the last year or so that I started to find it interesting and fun. Prior to that, it was basically the same people who I interact with in other forums and mailing lists, so there wasn’t much news. Now I keep in touch with dozens of friends who otherwise are far beyond my usual circles.

How to tag People or Pages in Photos on Facebook

It’s actually pretty easy to tag people or pages to also connect with your photo updates, but if you want to do it right, ensure that you are tagging the right people. If you tag people on photos there are not interested in - they will untag themselves from your photo and if they don't know how to remove themselves from your photo tag, they'll find you to be annoying and will either report or block you.

Tag people or Pages in photos?

You can tag people or Pages in your own or someone else’s photos if the person or Page has allowed others to tag it.
To tag people or Pages in a photo:
  1. Click the photo to expand it
  2. Hover over the photo and click Tag Photo at the bottom
  3. Click the person in the photo and start typing their name
  4. Choose the full name of the person or Page you want to tag when it appears
  5. Click Done Tagging
If you want to tag people or Pages in multiple photos in an album at once:
  1. Go to the album
  2. Click Tag at the top right
  3. Enter the name of a person or Page to tag
  4. Click each photo you want to tag with that name
  5. Click Save Tags when you're finished
  6. Repeat this process for each person or Page you’d like to tag
You can tag up to 50 people or Pages in a photo.
Keep in mind that when you tag someone in a photo, that person's friends may also see, like or comment on the photo.
Recently, Facebook ensures that if you tag a photo that was not uploaded by a friend, the person who uploaded the photo will need to approve the tag before the tag can work.

If you’d like to come back to Facebook after you’ve deactivated your account, you can reactivate your account at anytime by logging in with your email and password. Keep in mind, if you use your Facebook account to log into Facebook or somewhere else, your account will be reactivated. This means your Facebook profile, including things like your friends, photos and posts, will be completely restored. Remember that you'll need to have access to the email address you use to log in to reactivate your account.
To permanently delete your account: Permanently deleting your account means you won't ever be able to reactivate or retrieve any of the content or information you've added.

While Facebook is deleting your information, it is inaccessible to other people using Facebook.

Some of the things you do on Facebook aren’t stored in your account. For example, a friend may still have messages from you even after you delete your account. That information remains after you delete your account.

When I post something on Facebook, how do I choose who can see it?

     Facebook Post     No comments

When I post something on Facebook, how do I choose who can see it?: You'll find an audience selector tool most places you share status updates, photos and other things you post. Click the tool and select who you want to share something with.

When I post something on Facebook, how do I choose who can see it?

The tool remembers the audience you shared with the last time you posted something and uses the same audience when you share again unless you change it. For example, if you choose Public for a post, your next post will also be Public unless you change the audience when you post. This one tool appears in multiple places, such as your privacy shortcuts and privacy settings. When you make a change to the audience selector tool in one place, the change updates the tool everywhere it appears.
The audience selector also appears alongside things you've already shared, so it's clear who can see each post. After you've shared a post, you have the option to change who it's shared with. If you want to change the audience of a post after you've shared it, click the audience selector and select a new audience.

Remember, when you post to another person's timeline, that person controls what audience can view the post. Additionally, anyone who gets tagged in a post may see it, along with their friends.

How to poke somebody that poked you on Facebook

     Facebook Poke, Poke     No comments

Can you still poke someone on Facebook or has Facebook removed the "poke" feature? Oh yes!!! you can poke someone and someone can as well poke you back. Mind you, you can't poke someone that hasn't poke back that is, you can't poke twice.

How to poke somebody that poked you on Facebook

Facebook poke feature was a fun one until users got worried of what it really meant. The confusion led to the point that many users abandoned using it. I guess that's the reason Facebook is burying this feature under facebook.com/pokes. Initially, you won't beg to see this poking feature as it is embedded boldly close to each users profile.

See how to poke someone on Facebook here

If you want to poke everyone that has poked you, then you have to visit facebook.com/pokes on your web browser to poke them back.

You'll see the list of friends and Facebook users that have poked you.

Mind you, friends of friends can poke you. Hence, you shouldn't expect to see pokes from friends alone.

Please share this article with friends on Facebook so they can also find out where they can find their pokes and also to know what pokes means on Facebook.

Facebook’s latest feature makes it easier for you to work out which of your friends tend to stalk your updates online.

At the end of March, the social network introduced Stories, a feature that lets you share pictures and short videos that automatically disappear after 24 hours.

It’s almost identical to Snapchat Stories, allowing you to heavily customise the posts with a selection of filters, text, drawings, stickers, frames and masks.

However – also like Snapchat – Facebook Stories keeps track of the friends who have viewed your updates, gathering their names in a list that only you can see.

It’s the first time the site has provided such insight to users.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on what you use the site for), this doesn’t extend to things like profile visits and photos.

As Facebook’s Help Centre notes, “Facebook doesn't let people track who views their profile. Third-party apps also can't provide this functionality.

“If you come across an app that claims to offer this ability, please report the app.”

Facebook wants the feature to become a core part of the user experience, and has placed Stories right at the top of the News Feed so users won’t be able to miss them.

Facebook-owned Instagram and WhatsApp have also launched their own versions of Stories in recent months, though the messaging app's version hasn't had the best response from users.

How to Permanently Delete Your Facebook Account Right Now - Permanently

       Delete Permanently     No comments

How to Delete Your Facebook Account Right Now - Permanently: While Facebook social network is a handy tool for keeping in touch with family, friends and organizing events, it has become bigger and far too powerful than the site many of us originally signed up to.

How to Delete Your Facebook Account Right Now - Permanently

Facebook has at many instances been called out for a wide range of perceived misdemeanors. In some situation, it's long been viewed as a rather sinister threat to privacy and criticised for its tax practices, but more recent issues, such as the spread of fake news, the site’s approach to illegal content and incredibly disturbing uses of Facebook Live are particularly troubling.
Howbeit, for many, it’s simply a colossal waste of time.

Regardless of why you want to cut ties with Facebook, here’s how to deactivate and delete your account now.

      Deactivate

Unless you’re absolutely sure you want to get rid of your Facebook account once and for all, we’d recommend going down the deactivation route.
Deactivating your account hides your profile from friends and search, but allows you to resurrect your account – complete with friends, updates, pictures and Likes – if you ever decide to return, simply by entering your login information.
      To deactivate your Facebook account:
      • Click the downwards-pointing arrow in the top-right corner of the screen
      • Select Settings
      • Open the Security section
      • Choose the Deactivate Your Account option at the bottom of the menu

How To Delete Facebook Account Now

Deleting your account is a major step, so think it through before committing. Facebook can take up to 90 days to process account deletion requests, but once your account's gone, it’s gone.
Before taking the plunge, it’s well worth downloading a copy of the data Facebook has on you.
      To do this:
      • Click the downwards-pointing arrow in the top-right corner of the screen
      • Select Download a copy of your Facebook data
Once that’s done, you’re ready to delete your account. Bear in mind, however, that your sent messages will continue to exist even when all other traces of your account are gone.
To permanently delete your Facebook account:
      • Head to Facebook’s Delete Account page: https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account
      • Select Delete My Account

Delete Facebook Post From My Timeline | Facebook timeline Posts Delete

         Facebook Timeline Posts     No comments

How To Delete Facebook Post From Timeline | Facebook timeline Posts Delete: This article explains how to delete a Facebook post from your own wall. Did you mistakenly post something on your Facebook timeline and want to delete it? Don't worry, this article will save you the stress. Smart Links: How to Delete Photos From Facebook Album

How To Delete Facebook Post From Timeline | Facebook timeline Posts Delete

How to Delete a Facebook Post

This is for a post someone else wrote on someone else’s timeline. It will not remove the post, it will hide it from you.

When you look at a post, you will not see the carrot on the right side. Hover your mouse in that area to see the carrot. Click on it.

You will see several options. Click “I don’t want to see this.” You will no longer see it. Facebook changes exactly what this says from time to time, but the concept is the same. As in my next set of instructions.

Another Way to Remove a Post

I noticed that I have a slightly different set of options when I go to delete a Facebook post by someone else.

On my Facebook account, the options include “Hide” and “Report/Mark as Spam.” I don’t have the survey option and I don’t have “I don’t want to see this.” What’s the deal? I guess Curtis has a different set of options than I do on his page, because one is newer than the other.

        Deleting Your Own Facebook Post

The two posts above were written by others. The first account belongs to Curtis Ellis, the second to Jennifer Ellis. If you have written a post of your own that you want to delete, here is how it is currently done.

As you can see, there are completely different options when the post is your own. You can delete your own post, unfollow it, or embed it somewhere else.
        Deleting or Removing a Comment

If you have written a comment on a post (yours or someone else’s) you will instead see a pencil when you hover.

        Conclusion

It seems that Facebook has decided to change the word delete to hide, or something else that does not make it clear whether you are actually deleting a post from your timeline. Given that you cannot delete someone else’s post anyway, this makes some sense. Cheers!!
