Logging In To Instagram Account

Instagram is a lovely place to post pictures and keep up with friends, celebrities, as well as keep up with current trends. Logging in to Instagram is quite easy and you can log in using either your mobile phone or your laptop PC.

Before now, Instagram was only available on mobile phones but now, Instagram users can finally log into their account on their desktop to scroll through their feed as the photo-sharing network has added a desktop support feature to allow for scrolling when you do not want to use your phone. Instagram does have restricted features on a desktop at the moment, with users limited on how much they can post, see and engage with.

How to Log in to Instagram

As stated Earlier,there are two methods of logging in to your Instagram account;

On Mobile Phone

  • If you don't already have the Instagram app go to the app store or play store and download the app
  • Once it is installed open the app
  • When it opens it will give you the option to either log in with Facebook or using your email, phone number or username.
  • Choose your preferred login method, input the required login details, (that is either of the three above and your password) and click on log in. Your account will be logged in.

On Desktop

  • Go to https://www.instagram.com/.
  • You will be meet a login page and it will ask you to log in either with your Facebook account (if your Instagram and Facebook accounts are linked) or for you to enter your email, mobile number and password.
  • Select the way you would like to login and sign into your account.
  • If you chose Facebook you will be required to put in your facebook login details but if you choose to login through Instagram you will have to put in your Email, phone number linked to the account or your account username (e.g., @maestro)
  • You will see a slightly different Instagram than what you are used to on your mobile phone. You still will have your regular picture feed and you will be able to search for accounts on your desktop though.
This steps are pretty easy and you won't have any problem following them at all. Hope this article was helpful.

See How To Enable Your Facebook

You can reactivate your account whenever you want. Deactivating Facebook does not do much. All it does is put a kind of freeze on your information. Basically, deactivating is a way to cool off from Facebook for a while so, it is really, really easy to reactivate it and get back in quickly.

Reactivating Facebook means that your friends will reappear on your friend's list again and any new status updates you put up will start showing up in your friends' news feeds.

How to Reactivate Facebook Account

  • Go to Facebook at www.facebook.com on your desktop or open the facebook app on your mobile phone.
  • Log in with the two boxes at the very top right of the screen for desktop or the log in boxes in  the Facebook app.
  • Put in the same email and password that you used when you last logged into Facebook.

And that's it!. You have reactivated your Facebook account and restored your old profile the moment you successfully logged back into Facebook. Facebook interprets any sign-in to mean that you want to use your account again, so it  reactivates your Facebook account immediately.

Note: The instructions above are only valid if you deactivated your account and not if you permanently deleted your Facebook Account. If you are not sure of what you did,you can go ahead and follow these steps to see if you can get back in.

How to Check Recent Visitors on Facebook

 Facebook Profile     No comments

How to Check Recent Visitors on Facebook: You may wonder who and who visits your profile, there is no sure  way to determine the identities of users who visit your profile, and any service or method that claims to do so is most likely inaccurate. It's also worth knowing that, due to the News Feed's algorithm, visiting people's profiles is less common than it used to be in the past. We would help you make calculated guesses on who your profile visitors are in this article.

Facebook Profile visitors

Method 1

Using Your Friends List
  • Log in to Facebook.
  • Click your name tab. It's in the upper-right corner of the Facebook page. This takes you to your Facebook profile page.On mobile, tap ☰ in the bottom-right corner of the screen (iPhone) or the top-right corner of the screen (Android).
  • Click Friends. This is found near the top of your profile page. It will bring up a list of your Facebook friends. On mobile, tap Friends in the menu.
  • Review the top results. The top 10 to 20 friends in this list are the people with whom you have the most frequent interactions, which means that they most likely visit your profile more often than other people.
  • Consider each of your top friends. Someone who has a few hundred friends is much more likely to view your profile than is someone who has a few thousand friends; this will help you narrow down the list of people who are likely to be viewing your page.If you see a person with whom you don't go out of your way to interact, they're probably viewing your page a fair amount.
  • Look through friend suggestions. If you receive a Facebook notification urging you to add certain people, the people in question are most likely friends of one (or more) of your most frequent profile visitors.
Method 2

Using a Status
  • Open Facebook, then Log in.
  • Select the status text box. Click or tap the text box near the top of the News Feed page. This text box usually has a phrase such as "What's on your mind?" in it.
  • Type in a neutral status. This might be a joke, a fact, or a general statement, but stay away from topics that will evoke strong emotions in your friend group.Avoid mentioning sensitive or partisan issues.Don't tag anyone in your status, as doing so will affect the results..
  • Click Post. It's in the bottom-right corner of the status window. On mobile, you'll tap Share in the upper-right corner instead.
  • Wait to see who likes the status. After a certain amount of time (e.g., 8 hours), review the status to see who liked it.If applicable, make a note of who commented on the status as well.
  • Repeat this test several more times. You'll want at least 5 different statuses to compare against each other.
  • Compare the mutual people who liked your statuses. If you noticed that a large number of the same people liked and/or commented on your Facebook statuses each time, its possible they are visiting your Facebook page more often than other people in your friends list.
Now you know who your Facebook profile visitors are, you may want to send a message to someone who constantly visits your page and likes your posts, it could be them showing interest you know.

How Do I Log Out On Facebook App

Facebook decided a while ago to make Messenger its own stand-alone app. The Facebook Messenger app does not have a log out button like the main Facebook app though, and this irritates a number of users. In this article, we will show you how to log out of Messenger on Android and iOS from your phone or PC.

Log out of Facebook Messenger on Android

There are two methods with which you can achieve this
  1. Clear Messenger's app data on your device Settings
  2. Logging out of the Messenger from your Facebook app.

Clear Messenger app data in Settings

  • To log out of Facebook Messenger, you need to go to the Settings of your Android device. Make sure to close the app if you have it open, and get rid of it from your recent apps list, otherwise this trick will not work.
  • In Settings, Go to the Apps or Application Manager, and scroll through until you see Messenger.
  • Click on this, and then click on Clear data.
Now when you return to tap on Messenger, you should see that it will not log you in automatically.

Tip: If someone else wants to use your phone to check their Facebook messages while you are still logged in, they just need to click on Switch Account on the messenger  to sign into their own account.

Logging out of Messenger from the Facebook app

  •  From the Android Facebook app, click the 'More' button on the top right (which should appear as three lines).
  • Go to Account settings
  • Select Security and login.
  • You will see a section called Where you're logged in.
  • Select the Messenger session and click on Log Out.

Log out of Facebook Messenger on iOS

  • Open your actual Facebook app,not Messenger
  • Click on the 'More' button on the bottom right.
  • Navigate to Settings, tap Account Settings,
  • Click on Security and in the Security menu, go to Where you're logged in.
  • As you've open it, you can manage all your Facebook account's active sessions across any device, app or browser.
  • Close the session listed as "Facebook Messenger on iOS 10" or whichever version of iOS your iPhone is running on.
The next time you open Messenger, you will be logged out and prompted to log back in with the same account as before, or you can choose to switch accounts at that point if you want.

How to log out of the Messenger app from the Facebook website

You can also log out of the iOS or Android Messenger app from the Facebook website, from your PC or your mobile phone browser.
  • Go to Facebook.com
  • Click on Settings from the drop-down menu on the top right.
  • Go to Security and Login, then search for the section called Where You're Logged In.
  • Find the Messenger session you would like to log out of, click the three dots on the right, then

How You How To Put Location On Facebook Posts

When you post a Facebook status, you can choose to specify where you are and what you're doing. If you're at a park, a store or at any other location, you can tag your location, and if you're at an event like a movie, you can add a Fb movie status or a status stating what you're doing. If you intend to show your location with every status update, there are just a few things you should do. You can add your location to a post to tell people you're at a specific place, like your home or a restaurant

1. Update your current city from your profile

Make sure that your current city is updated on your profile and it is set to public. To do this,
Go to your profile on mobile or desktop. On the web version,Click on Profile  and then click on about. Under About click on Places you’ve lived in and then input your Current City and Pick it when it appears.

On mobile, go to Profile and select Edit profile. Under Edit profile click on Edit Details.
Type in the current city and Pick it when it appears. This part is important.

2. Enable location from your phone settings

For this to work, you need to make sure location/GPS is enabled in your phone settings. Go through the settings and enable it if it’s disabled. You may simply pull down the Notification Center to enable it depending on the make of your phone.

Also, make sure to check permission settings. Make sure you have not specifically disabled location sharing for your Facebook app. If the Facebook app does not have the required permission to access your location, this might not work.

Removing your location from your Facebook status updates

If you need to remove your location from your Facebook status updates and photos, you should only do two things:

1. Remove/hide your current city from your profile

To do this, open your profile on mobile or desktop. On the web version, go to Profile and click on About. Under about search for Places you’ve lived in and delete the input under Current City.

On mobile, go to Profile and click on Edit profile. Under Edit profile select Edit Details and click on Current city.Delete your current city or set the permission to “Only me.”

2. Disable GPS/location on your phone

Go to the settings and disable it if it is already enabled. You can simply pull down the Notification Center to put it off depending on the kind of device you're using. Also, you can change permissions just for the Facebook app and deny its permission to access your location from settings on your device.

After this is done, Facebook should no longer update your status with your location.

You can also edit your location from posts.

You can only edit or remove a location on your own post.
To edit your location on a post:
  • Go to the post.
  • Click on  and select Edit Post.
  • Click on .
  • Pick a new location and then click Save.
To remove your location on a post:
  • Go to the post.
  • Click on  and select Edit Post.
  • Click on .
  • Click on 'x' to the right of At (Your Location) to remove your current location.
  • Click on Save.

How To Know When Someone Unfollows You On Twitter

As a Twitter user, you should fully understand that following someone is not a guarantee they will return the favor, and that’s fine. Life can be unpredictable to which Twitter is no exception.

There are some awesome tools online that you can use to know which users aren’t following you back, inactive persons on Twitter, and much more. Below are four great tools that you can take advantage of and the best part is that they’re free.

ManageFlitter

ManageFlitter is an impressive app that will give you a complete report of those that you’re connected with in some way on Twitter. Through your Twitter account, you will have access to lists of those who aren’t following you back, inactive users, and spam accounts, among other variables.

ManageFlitter is convenient too, especially in the list format, you can unfollow users with one simple click. When using this tool, it’s important to see who is inactive. While these users may already follow you back, if they’re designated as ‘inactive,’ it means that they haven’t tweeted in at least thirty days. If they aren’t tweeting, why follow them?

Friend or Follow

One of the great features of Friend or Follow is that it doesn’t just focus on Twitter, but it takes a look at Instagram and Tumblr as well. In terms of Twitter, you can sort users by various factors, including whether or not they’re verified, when they last tweeted, how old their account is, or how frequent they tweet, for example. While this is another great tool to see who isn’t following you back, it’s a little bit more time consuming than ManageFlitter, in that to follow someone, you need to open their profile into a new tab or window. However, great features make up for that. While you have the option to pay for additional features with Friend or Follow, the free version of the tool more than serves its purpose.

Unfollowers

Unfollowers is another helpful tool that even includes a mention tracker, so that you can see who (either that you’re following or who follows you) has interacted with you in the past. Not only that, but you can set the layout to either have a list, grid, table, or button format, with the table format being shown above. Through the various layout options, you’re given informative statistics on the Twitter users that you’re following and that are following you, and just like with ManageFlitter, it’s very convenient to follow and unfollow, all with one click.

TwitNERD

Another free tool, twitNERD, is great in that it has a unique feature for you to use to find people to follow. Through the ‘Follow by Keyword’ tab, you are able to input any keyword or phrase, which will introduce you to various influencers and popular users on Twitter that fit the particular description of what you’re looking for. This is a great way for finding new users to connect with. Not only that, but twitNERD has a great feature in that it will automatically generate ‘Follow Friday’ tweets for you, based on factors such as those who retweet you and mention you the most. This will save you time, while also crafting a tweet on your behalf that sends a ‘thank you’ out to your loyal followers.

Through social media, it’s important to see who is connected with you. What tools are you using to see who is and isn’t following you back on Twitter?

Where To Know If You Have Been Unfriended On Facebook

The ability to unfriend 'friends' on Facebook is handy, but the site does not make it easy to find out if other users have removed you as a friend. That is kind of  understandable, since finding out that a certain someone has 'banished' you from their digital world is not exactly the best feeling in the world.

Browsing through and scanning your friends list will only get you so far. You have to put in a little more effort with a little detective work to make sure you have not gotten the wrong end of the stick.
Although, it may not be personal and they may have simply just deactivated or deleted their Facebook account.

How to find out if you've been Unfriended on Facebook

  • Your first port of call should be Messenger.
You could search for that former one time Facebook friend in your inbox and, if they are still on Facebook and have not blocked you, their profile picture and name will appear under the 'More People' heading. If it doesn't, then......
  • Use of 3rd party Applications

If you're curious as to why your Facebook friend count is down, there are apps that tell you who exactly unfriended you. Some of them are:

Who Deleted Me

Who Deleted Me is a free app for iOS and Android. Its also a browser extension for Google Chrome ans it works by saving a copy of your friend list after you first use the app. When you revisit the app or browser extension, it will compare your friend list with the saved version and tell you who your missing friends are and who recently became your Facebook friend. This, unfortunately, means that you can't see who unfriended you before you began using the app.

Who Unfollowed Me on Instagram

The Instagram app does not tell you who un-follows you when it happens. The only thing you see is a decreasing number of followers, and you are left staring down at the app wondering who unfollowed you. There may be an app that could help with that.

If you're wondering who your unfollowers are, The most basic way to do it is by manually monitoring follower count and some particular users. If you notice your followers count goes down, you can then investigate the "Following" lists of those specific users to verify whether they are still following you or not. But this is a very time-consuming and impractical work especially if you have a lot of followers that fluctuates regularly. It will be better to use a tool that keeps track of your follows and unfollows.

There are a few good third-party apps out there that can help you out. Listed below are three different examples of such apps.

Follow Meter for Instagram

Follow Meter is an app gives insight about your Instagram popularity including followers, unfollowers, secret admirers and ghost followers. Once the app is downloaded and installed to your device, you will be asked to sign in to your Instagram account through the app.

Your dashboard will show you your unfollowers and also new followers, users who are not following you back and users who you are not following back. Some of the features are only accessible with in app purchases. According to some of the app's reviews, Follow Meter has done well by adapting to the changes in the Instagram API, allowing users to still see who unfollowed them.

Follow Meter is available on both iOS and Android devices.

Followers Tracker Pro

Followers Tracker Pro is free to download app that yoou ca start using right away (with in-app purchases for extra features). This app is a simple follower/following tracker with a clean interface.

You can see the followers you've gained, followers you've lost, unfollowers and deleted likes and comments at one glance. Just Click on Lost Followers to see a list of your unfollowers.

You can even dig deeper into your followers by finding out your "ghosts followers," seeing who is posting nearby, tracking your average number of likes per photo and much more. The app is updated multiple times per month, which is good because it is more likely to function properly as it integrates with the Instagram app. Followers Tracker Pro is available mainly on iOS.

Follow Cop

Android users looking for a seriously elegant follower tracking app can check out Follow Cop as it is absolutely worth it. This app allows you see unfollowers, users who unfollowed you recently , ghost followers, top likers and lots more. Since the app only shows you who unfollowed you most recently, you will want to make sure to check your unfollowers frequently. Of these unfollowers, you will also be able to see if you do or do not follow them.

Follow Cop also lets you manage your followers more easily than doing it through the Instagram app. You can do mass unfollows of up to 20 users or more, use filters to find fake followers and connect up to three Instagram accounts at a time to use with the app.

Follow Cop is available on:Android

Find Person by Picture on Facebook

When you join Facebook you will be presented with multiple options for finding friends. If you have friends that aren't already on Facebook, you can send them a personal invitation to join Facebook, and become your friend.

After adding your friends on Facebook, you can engage and interact with them through your Facebook profile. Do note that some users do not make themselves searchable on Facebook, so you may not be able to find them. The methods below can help you find the people you are looking for.

How to find friends on Facebook using the Search Bar

  • Navigate to the Facebook search bar which is on the upper left hand corner of your home page. The search bar is designed to help you find a specific person, even if you do not know their last name. The search results are based mainly on the information you have included in your profile
  • Type in your friends name on the search bar. Once you start typing, Facebook will begin to generate results for the most likely query based on your profile information. Facebook is more likely to suggest friends who are from your own country or city, or friends who share the same college or workplace.
  • Include a relevant detail; If you can not find your friend with just their name, include the name of their city, college, workplace, etc. This may likely narrow down your results
  • Type in your friend's email address into the search bar. If you know your friend's email address, you can also type it directly in to the search bar. Their profile will appear only if the email address you typed in is the one they have linked with their Facebook account.
  • Add them. Once you have found the correct profile, click on it and navigate their profile page to the “Add Friend” button toward the top to send a friend request.
  • If the person is a new or long lost friend, or someone who you haven't seen in a while, it is considered polite to send them a message along with your request. Help them remember who you are, so they do not deny the request by mistake.

Importing your Email Contacts into Facebook

  • Click on "Find Friends" at the top right of the Facebook tab. The page will refresh and Facebook will generate a list of “People You May Know” based on the information in your profile.
  • Navigate to the “Add Personal Contacts” box. You will find this box at the right hand side of the screen. This box will show the email address that is currently linked with your account.
  • Import your email contacts. Follow the directions provided by Facebook to import the email contacts from the email address of your choice. Directions may vary depending on your email service provider, For example, if you use Gmail, you will be required to log in to your Gmail account, click on "Export" within Gmail, and select the contacts you want uploaded to Facebook.
  • Browse the friend suggestions provided to you by Facebook. Facebook will search for your friends using the email addresses and names that were imported from your email account.

Inviting Friends to Facebook

If you can’t find the person you are looking for by any of the previously mentioned methods, it is possible that they do not have a Facebook account yet. You can take the opportunity to invite them to join you on Facebook.

  • Click on 'Find Friends' . This button is in the upper right corner of your Facebook tab.
  • Navigate to the "Invite Your Friends" box. You will find this box at the bottom right-hand side of the page under the “Add Personal Contacts” box. Here you can access a search bar, which allows you to enter phone numbers and email address of people you know who you would like to invite to Facebook.
  • Type your friend’s number or email into the search box and Facebook will  notify them that you have requested their presence on Facebook.
  • To invite more than one friend at once, insert a comma after each email address or phone number.
If you have not been able to find someone on Facebook, and you do not have their phone number or email, then asking them in person is a great way to connect. Suggest that you would enjoy keeping in touch with them on Facebook.

  • Having the same friends in common, or mutual friends. This is the most common reason for the suggestions.
  • Being in the same Facebook group or being tagged on the same photo.

If you see a suggestion for you with no mutual friends, remember that some people have their friends list set to private. This means that some suggestions who are friends of friends may not show the friends that you have in common.

Join Facebook Create New Account

Facebook is one of the most recognizable social media in the world. It allows you to interact with millions of people all over the globe in addition to its other unique features. You must be at least 13 years old to create a Facebook account.

Basically, all you need in order to join Facebook is a valid e-mail address. Valid means that you need to be able to access the messages in that account easily because Facebook e-mails you a registration confirmation.

How to Sign Up on Facebook

  • Go to www.facebook.com. When the page opens you will need to fill in the following;

  • First and Last Name:

Facebook is a community based on real identity. Sign up with the same name people know you by. Signing up with a fake name or alias is not recommended because it will make it hard for you to be found by friends. After you have signed up, you can then add nicknames or maiden names to your Timeline to make it even easier for friends to find you.

  • Email:

You need to enter your valid e-mail address. Facebook asks you to enter your e-mail twice to make sure that there are no typos or errors and that your e-mails will actually get to you.

  • Password:

Using a combination of letters and numbers is a good idea for your Facebook password. It is not a good idea to use the same password for every site you join, so use something different for Facebook.

  • Birthday:

Put in your date of birth. If you are shy about sharing your birthday, do not worry, You will be able to hide this information on your Timeline later.

  • Gender (Female or Male):

Facebook makes use of your gender information to construct sentences about you on the site especially in other languages.  it will be weird to see sentences like 'Jennifer added a photo of themselves', but If you want to hide your gender on your Timeline, you can do that after signing up.
  • After filling out this information, click Sign Up (that is the big green button). Congratulations: You have officially joined Facebook.

N/B: When you click Sign Up, you’re agreeing to Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and Privacy Policy.

Most websites have fairly similar terms and policies, but if you’re curious about just what Facebook’s  terms and policies are, you can always click on the Terms and Privacy links at the bottom of every Facebook page.

How Do I Save Photos From Instagram

A lot of users have uploaded millions and millions of photos to Instagram, making the app the world’s most popular photo sharing application. While you can “like” or bookmark/save a photo so you can revisit it later, you cannot download Instagram photos to your computer and/or device directly from Instagram the way you might by saving an image from a regular web page.

Instagram has now created a saving feature built directly in the application. Although it only lets you bookmark the photo or video post tab, not actually download it to your device, it's still better than nothing.

How To Use the New Save Tab on Instagram
The Save tab appears as a little bookmark icon on every user's profile directly above the photo feed in the horizontal menu. You can not see the save tab on other users' profiles, but you can see it on your own profile while signed in and This ensures that only you can see what you have saved.

To save any post on Instagram, look for the bookmark icon in the bottom right corner of the post and click on it. It will automatically be added to your save tab and the user who posted it will not get any notification. The photo has been saved, but if you want to organize your saved photos, tap the 'Save to Collections' pop up that comes up. Click on the plus icon to create your own collection.

To view, edit, or organize your saved Instagram photo, go to your profile and tap the bookmark icon. You can tap the plus icon to add new collections or move a saved photo to a new collection.

Take a Screenshot
This is the easiest unofficial way to quickly save a a copy of someone's else's Instagram photo. You can take a screenshot of the Instagram photo and then use a photo editing tool to crop it.

Third-Party Apps
If you research, you may find a third-party app that claims to help you to save or download Instagram photos. There is, however, no guarantee that these apps will work how you might expect it to, given that Instagram reviews all requests for API access and rejects anything that permits users to interact too heavily with the app, or anything that goes against their terms.

You might have a seriously frustrating time finding any type of third-party app that actually allows you to seamlessly download posts, and anything you actually do decide to download could be kind of shady deal for your privacy and/or security. It'll be much better to go with any of the other options presented above.

Facebook Lite on Android devices

 Facebook lite     No comments

Facebook Lite on Android devices: Facebook Lite a new version of Facebook built to be of very light weight and still contains all the basic features of the original Facebook app. Facebook Lite is designed for low/poor network areas, for increased data conservation and for older phones.

Facebook Lite has received some form of wide acceptance. It’s got all Facebook’s highlight features, uses fewer system resources and less data, and works on slower connections. The only downside is that it feels kind of basic. The trimmed down interface, large square buttons, and loading bar (yes, there’s a loading bar) kinda feels like something from the late 2000s. It doesn’t look all that different though.

How to Download Facebook Lite

Facebook Lite on iOS devices

  • Open the App Store on your device.
  • Tap the Search button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Type in the word ‘Facebook Lite’ – a number of apps will be presented, Tap the 'get button, when you find the app developed by Facebook.
  • Tap ‘install’.Based on your security and privacy configurations, you may be asked to provide your Apple ID before your device lets you download.
  • Once it is downloaded, there should be an ‘Open’ button to tap in the App Store to start Facebook Lite – or you can search and find the Facebook Lite icon in your apps and tap that.
  • Once you have launched the app, you should be prompted to log in.
Facebook Lite on Android devices

  • Open the Google Play Store on your device.
  • Type ‘Facebook Lite’ in the search field. A list of apps will appear.
  • Find the app developed by ‘Facebook Inc’ – which should be at or near the top of the list –and tap it.
  • Tap the ‘Install’ button. You may be asked to allow permission for 'Facebook Lite' to access various tools on your device. If you’re ok with these, tap ‘Accept’. Depending on your security and privacy settings, you may be asked to provide your Google account password before your device lets you download the app. You may also need to be connected to a WI-FI network to download.
  • Once it has downloaded, tap the ‘Open’ button on the 'Facebook Lite' Google Store page. You can also find it on your home screen and tap to launch.
  • Login using your Facebook account details.
Follow any other on screen instructions to complete the installation process.

If you use  an older phone or want to save mobile data, there’s no harm in giving it a look. It’s only 2MB, and the worst case scenario is you switch back. It might also be exactly the Facebook app you’ve been looking for.

Is There A Free Countdown Clock For Facebook

You could have the opportunity to promote a particular occasion on your Facebook page by adding a countdown clock application, or app, to your account. The application displays an image of a clock on your Facebook Wall, and it counts down to a preset date, such as a graduation, birthday, wedding or sporting event.

Facebook gives you access to various third-party applications that you could use to create these countdown clocks within your account. To insert a countdown clock on your Facebook page to track any event follow the instructions below;

Facebook Countdown Clock

  • Log in to your Facebook account and type "countdown clock" (without the quotation marks) in the search field on the page.
  • Click on the "See more results for countdown clock" link that appears on the drop-down menu, and then click on the "Apps" link on the left-hand side to bring up all the applications that perform this task.
  • Browse through and review the countdown clock apps, like Graduation Countdown Clock or CBC Countdown Clock, to find the one that you want to use. Click on the "View App" button on the right to open this page.
  • Click on the "Info," "Wall" and "Reviews" links on the left-hand side to find out more information about the clock. When you're ready, click on the "Add to My Page" link in the bottom-left corner to begin the process of installation .
  • Follow the instructions to add the countdown feature to your account and access the application page that lets you configure your clock. Use the available options to pick a design and put in a date you want to track. Click on the "Publish" or "Post" link to proceed.
  • Click on the "Profile" link in the menu bar to see the countdown clock feature posted to your Wall.
The countdown clock applications vary slightly, depending on the one you choose to use.

Can I Contact Facebook

We all have at some point needed to contact Facebook about an issue we are having. Maybe you have a question about ads or privacy, Or you are a parent trying to adjust the settings on your child's account, Or maybe your profile was disabled for no reason and you're trying to get it back.

Below I will show you how to get Facebook support from official Facebook sources or from the Facebook community. It is a guide to contacting and receiving support from Facebook!

Using Facebook Resources

  • Open the Facebook Help Center web page. If you're not already logged into Facebook, you'll need to do so.
  • Review the options toolbar. This is at the top of the screen, directly beneath the search bar--you'll need to drag your mouse cursor over each option to view its subsections.
  • Your options include the following:
  1. Using Facebook - This section of the Help Center covers basic Facebook functionality, including how-to's on friending, messaging, and account creation.
  2. Managing Your Account - Covers items such as your login and your profile settings.
  3. Privacy and Safety - Addresses account security, unfriending people, and hacked/fake accounts.
  4. Policies and Reporting - Covers basic reporting (abuse, spam, etc.) as well as handling a deceased person's Facebook account and reporting hacked or fake accounts.
  5. You can also check out the "Questions You May Have" and "Popular Topics" sections on this page, since they cover common issues and complaints.
  • Select a relevant section. For example, if you're having a problem with an impostor account, you'd select the "Privacy and Safety" section and then click Hacked and Fake Accounts.
  • Review additional options. In keeping with the impostor account example, you might click the "How do I report an account that’s pretending to be me?" link. Doing so will bring up a series of steps that explain how to remedy your situation. For example, Facebook recommends dealing with an impostor account by going to the account's profile page, clicking ..., and clicking Report, then following the on-screen instructions.
  • Use the search bar to expedite your process. To do this, simply click on the search bar at the top of the Help Center page--it will say something like "Hi (Your Name), how can we help?"--and type in a few words related to your complaint. You should see several suggestions pop up in a drop-down menu below the search bar.For example, you might type in "impostor account", then click on the "How do I report an account for impersonation?" result.
  • The search bar here only links to Facebook's pre-written articles--if you're looking for an answer to a specific issue not covered in the Help Center, skip ahead to the Community page.
  • Open the Ads Help Center page. If your business or page is having issues with ads, your questions are usually addressed in this section.
  • To delve into advertising, you'll want to click Creating Ads or Managing Ads.
  • For problems with advertising, you'll need to click Troubleshooting Your Ads and then select an issue on the subsequent menu.

Submitting a Complaint via the Better Business Bureau

  • Open Facebook's Better Business Bureau page.
  • Scroll down and click Submit a Complaint. This is on the lower right side of the webpage next to the Submit a Review button.
  • Click Click Here to File a Complaint. This is underneath the "I am looking to resolve a dispute with a business" heading on the left side of the page.
  • Fill out the Qualification Questions form. Here, you'll need to click the "Yes" or "No" checkbox for each of the following questions:
  1. Is this an employee/employer complaint?
  2. Is this a discrimination or civil rights complaint?
  3. Does your complaint allege a criminal act?
  4. Is this a business with a complaint for collections purposes with another business?
  5. Is this complaint in litigation?
  6. Is this complaint based solely on dissatisfaction with a price?
  7. Is this complaint about a purchase you wish you never made?
  8. Are solely seeking an apology from the business?
  9. Are you filing this complaint for BBB information only?
  • Click Proceed to Complaint Form. You can also click Clear & Start Over to begin filling out the form again.
  • Click Proceed. If you want to change the language of the following forms, you must first click the "Select Language" bar in the top left corner of the screen and then click your preferred language.
  • Fill out the complaint form. This will differ from person to person based on one's personal information and the nature of one's complaint, but be sure to be as thorough as possible when filling out this form. You should include all of the following:
  1. The problem you're encountering
  2. The steps you took to resolve the problem
  3. The issues you ran into while attempting to resolve the problem
  4. Any potential solutions and/or suggestions you can think of
  • Scroll down and click Submit Complaint.
  • Wait for an email to arrive. Facebook operates on West Coast time, so expect your email to arrive accordingly within three to five business days.

Submitting an Appeal for a Disabled Account

  • Open the Disabled Facebook Account page. If your account hasn't been disabled (or isn't currently disabled), you won't be able to submit an appeal.
  • Click the "submit an appeal" link. This is toward the bottom of the page's paragraph next to the "If you think your account was disabled by mistake" line.
  • Type in your Facebook email address. You can also use a phone number here.
  • Type in your full name. Make sure the name listed here directly matches the name on your account.
  • Click Choose Files. You'll also need to upload a picture of an ID--be it a driver's license, a permit, or a passport photo. If you don't have a picture of your ID available, take one now and send it to yourself via email so you can download it to your desktop.
  • Click on a file location. For example, you might click Desktop here.
  • Click your ID picture. This will upload it to the Facebook form.
  • Type details into the "Additional Info" box. This is the space in which you can justify the reactivation of your account. Consider including details like the following:
  • Why your account shouldn't have been deactivated
  • Why you want your account to be reactivated, Any other extenuating factors that might help your account be reactivated (for example, malicious interference with your account)
  • Click Send. Doing so will send your form to Facebook for review. Please note that you may not receive a response for several days. If you don't receive a response within a week, try resubmitting your form.

Recovering Your Password

  • Open the Facebook website.
  • Click "Forgot Account?". This option is beneath the "Password" field in the top right corner of your screen.
  • Type in your name, email address, or phone number. Make sure you can access whichever platform you choose to go with.
  • Hit Enter.
  • Click Continue.
  • Check your chosen medium of communication for a code. For example, if you listed your phone number, you should get a text with a code. If you choose email, check your Spam folder.
  • Type your code into the "Enter Code" field.
  • Click Continue.
  • Click Continue again. You can also choose to log out of your account on all devices if you think your account has been maliciously appropriated.
  • Type in a new password.
  • Click Continue. Your password has successfully been reset across all Facebook platforms (e.g., mobile and desktop alike).

Visit the Facebook Community page. If you can't find your current problem listed anywhere in the Help Center, your best bet is to look for it in the community forums here.
You'll see a search bar at the top of this page--you can look up topics (e.g., disabled accounts) from here.

Android browsers such as Chrome, have an option to view the desktop version of the page already built in. In Chrome, you can select the 'Menu'  button which is located at the upper-right corner, and then choose “Desktop Site“.

You can change the UA String or User Agent String within the app settings to reflect a desktop browser in some cases. This allows the browser to always show the full desktop version of the websites you visit.
