How To Delete A Post From My Facebook Timeline?

Access Facebook, Account, App, Delete Facebook, Facebook Account, Facebook App, Facebook followers, People, Post     No comments

This article explains how to delete a Facebook post from your own wall. Did you mistakenly post something on your Facebook timeline and want to delete it? Don't worry, this article will save you the stress.

How to Delete a Facebook PostThis is for a post someone else wrote on someone else’s timeline. It will not remove the post, it will hide it from you.

When you look at a post, you will not see the carrot on the right side. Hover your mouse in that area to see the carrot. Click on it.

You will see several options. Click “I don’t want to see this.” You will no longer see it. Facebook changes exactly what this says from time to time, but the concept is the same. As in my next set of instructions.

Another Way to Remove a PostI noticed that I have a slightly different set of options when I go to delete a Facebook post by someone else.

On my Facebook account, the options include “Hide” and “Report/Mark as Spam.” I don’t have the survey option and I don’t have “I don’t want to see this.” What’s the deal? I guess Curtis has a different set of options than I do on his page, because one is newer than the other.

Deleting Your Own Facebook Post The two posts above were written by others. The first account belongs to Curtis Ellis, the second to Jennifer Ellis. If you have written a post of your own that you want to delete, here is how it is currently done.

As you can see, there are completely different options when the post is your own. You can delete your own post, unfollow it, or embed it somewhere else.

Deleting or Removing a CommentIf you have written a comment on a post (yours or someone else’s) you will instead see a pencil when you hover.

ConclusionIt seems that Facebook has decided to change the word delete to hide, or something else that does not make it clear whether you are actually deleting a post from your timeline. Given that you cannot delete someone else’s post anyway, this makes some sense.

Start Building a business/company Facebook page

Access Facebook, Account, Business Page, Facebook for Business, Facebook Group, Page, Pages     No comments

Building a business/company Facebook page - Facebook, over the years has evolved into not just a social platform for us to keep in touch with friends and family, it has also provided us with the means to take our business/company to the whole world with the help of a business Facebook page.
To be able to reach out to your customers, you have to create a unique business Facebook page. We'll be showing you steps on Building a business Facebook page.

BUILDING A BUSINESS FACEBOOK PAGE
A. CHOOSE A CLASSIFICATION:
To get started, go to https://www.facebook.com/pages/create. Here, you will have different classifications to choose from that best suits you. These classifications provide you with more significant & compatible fields for your desired page.

B. COMPLETE THE BASIC INFORMATION:Here, Facebook will automatically guide you through the four basic sections to complete the essential aspects of your page which are:

The ''About'' section: This section talks about your company. You should describe your company in two-three sentences. This description will be on your main page so try to make it concise and descriptive. Make sure the link to your company's website is included. Make sure that the information provided differentiates your brand from other brands so your page will be engaging and entrancing to potential followers. You also select your unique domain here.

Upload a profile picture for the page: The profile picture will serve as the main visual icon of your page. This will appear in search results along with any posts or comment you publish. The recommended size of a page's profile picture is 180 x 180 pixels.

Add to ''Favorites'': Add your business/company page as a favorite item for easy access.
Reach more people: Although you will be prompted by Facebook, I would advice against running an advert at this point because your page is still at its infant stage.

C. UNDERSTANDING THE ADMIN PANEL:Your business/company page is now live! You will be asked if you would love to ''Like'' your page. As this activity will appear in the news feeds of those who are your friends on Facebook, I would advice against clicking the ''Like'' button for the same reasons I gave under ''Reach more people''. Click on ''Settings'' in the top navigation bar. A vertical navigation bar with different sections should appear along the left hand side. We'll be treating three essential sections below:

Page info: You can add more details about your business/company. The different fields shown to you here will be based on your classification in step A.
Notifications: Here, you get to choose how and when you want to receive page alerts. The frequency should fit with the schedule for your social media marketing.

Page roles: Here, you can invite your employees/other colleagues to make changes to the pages. Commonly seen cases are:
Public Relations Manager who needs to respond to any delicate question/questions
A Support Representative who can assist those answering technical questions
A Designer that will be charged with uploading new and creative images to the page

D. FILL THE PAGE WITH MEANINGFUL CONTENT:
Posts
: You are currently provided with six different posting options: Plain text status, Photo with caption, Link with caption, Video with caption, Event page, and Location check-in. Make sure to post variety contents. Click on the little grey arrow in the top right corner of each post and then click on ''Pin to top'' to move that particular post to the top of your page's timeline for seven days. You can use this feature for product announcement, business/company anniversaries and other major events that are germane to your brand.

Cover photo: This is the large horizontal branded image that spans the top of your Facebook page. This image will help attract people to your page. The official dimensions for a cover photo are 851 x 315 pixels.

Now that you have relevant contents on the page, you can invite users in this category to like it:
Colleagues/Employees: to build initial activity

Supporters in your network: They should be encouraged to engage Customers

E. TRACK YOUR GROWTH:
Metrics for tracking your page growth has been provided by Facebook. To track your page's growth, click the ''Insights'' option to see the following:

Overview: This shows the page likes, post, reach, and overall engagement over a period of seven days.

Likes: This shows your overall fan growth and losses. Also, if you ran an advert, you'll be able to see the detailed breakdown of paid versus organic growth.

Reach: This highlights the raw number of people your page is reaching everyday.

Visits: This shows you where on Facebook your viewers are coming from.

    How to Merge Facebook Accounts

Access Facebook, Account, Android, App, Download, Facebook Account, Facebook App, Mobile, Post, Profile     No comments

While Facebook does not allow users to auto-merge all friends, photos, status updates, check-ins or other information, you can manually merge parts of your Facebook accounts. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to migrate or re-create all of your data on Facebook.

How to Bulk Download Facebook DataAs a first step, download your data. This procedure can take a while and the archive will serve as your small backup, should you decide to deactivate or delete your Facebook account. It won’t be of great help in restoring any data, though.

Briefly, go to your General Account Settings and click Download a copy of your Facebook data at the bottom.

This will lead you to a page where you can download your information and get a copy of what you have shared on Facebook.

Now do start your archive on this first page. In addition find where it says You can also download an expanded archive… and click the respective link. This will guide you to the Expanded Archive download page where you will be asked to re-enter your password.

Now here is where you will need patience. Depending on how big your main and your expanded archive are and how many other archives are in the queue, this can take some time. And with that I mean a couple of hours.

Note that you must download both archives, to receive a full backup of your account!

Once your archive is available for download, this is what the page will look like.

Although your own photos are supposed to be included in the archive, you should download your Facebook Photos separately. Not only is this procedure another backup, it is also a lot faster and might provide you with more options.

Restore FriendsAs mentioned above, you won’t be able to restore or migrate all of your data and that includes your friends. You need to manually add friends to your new account. Unfortunately, it is not possible export your Facebook friends to a third party account and then re-import them to a new Facebook account.

However, you can import contacts from third party accounts such as Skype or Gmail. So if you have contact details of most of your friends on accounts outside of Facebook, you can take a small shortcut. Go to your new Facebook account and import contacts from any supported third party account (CSV files are also supported) via the Find Friends page.

While you can export your Facebook contacts to Yahoo! Mail, it is not be possible to re-import them to Facebook. And contacts imported from Facebook will certainly not be included in a Yahoo! CSV file.

Note that only contact information of friends who have agreed to have their email address included in information downloads can be imported into your Yahoo! account.

Restore Account DataHere comes the big letdown. There is no way to upload or otherwise import your archive to restore or transfer data from your old Facebook account to your new one. Whatever you want to restore, you have to do it (semi-)manually or use third party tools. Right now, the archive merely serves as a personal backup, nothing more.
